Rajinikanth said, “I came here to receive an award and not to make a speech that too after such an excellent speech by Amit Ji. I have no words to speak now. About 5 to 6 times, I couldn’t make it to the IFFI before. This time I am fortunate and honored to receive such a prestigious award. I thank the Government of India and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. I dedicate this award to all my producers, directors, technicians and fans. Thank you very much”.

Rajinikanth’s simplicity and humility is known to all and it was a heart touching gesture from Superstar when he displayed his affection towards his senior actor Amitabh Bachchan. It is to be noted that Rajinikanth has openly showcased his respect towards Amitabh Bachchan in the past by asking the media not to compare him with Amitabh Bachchan and he also referred Mr Bachchan as an Emperor while he would take the position of a King when it comes to Indian Cinema.
