Jr NTR Temper Broke All Norms In Overseas
Jr NTR’s “Temper” became the second film in his career to enter into “1 Million Dollars” league after his hit flick “Baadshah”. On the face of it, Temper is not just a second film for Jr NTR, but it is going change the way Telugu films are treated abroad forever. Also it points out how overseas NRI Telugu audiences love to get entertained.
All these days, we have movies like Dookudu, Attarintiki Daredi, Gabbar Singh, Race Gurram and Baadshah entertaining overseas audiences to the core. This is evident from the fact that all these films are part of million dollar club. Coming to our discussion, all the above said films banked a lot on hero’s stardom and his comedy timing. Loaded with tremendous comic sequences, hilarious moments and rib tickling characters, comedy is the central theme of those star studded movie that have action and sentiment for movie sake. That has sent strong vibes to makers that Overseas audiences entertain only comedy based flicks that have heroes making fun and Brahmi doing the jig in the ‘Srinu Vytla Genre’. But all those observations are proven wrong now as Temper broke all these norms.
Except NTR’s new body language and Puri Jagan’s powerful satirical dialogues, Temper has no comedy that makes us bump out of seats. In its nine days of run at USA box office, the film managed to breach One Million mark. That proves the theory, engaging content is needed to enthral NRI audiences not just comedy and comedy alone. Hope Telugu directors and heroes learn lessons from “Temper” and come up with new content rather than beaten-to-death comedy-action movies.
